This project was for the demolition of an iconic steel frame building formally the Vernon Pools building, which subsequently had a change of use in 1990 and became the “Paradox Night Club”.

Cammell Lairds Cranes

Project Description:

This extensive project was for the demolition of three 1,000 ton cranes using explosives, together with the additional dismantling of various out buildings including workshops and repair sheds.


Demolition of the Strand Footbridge in Liverpool

Client: Liverpool City Council

Project Description:

His project was for the demolition of an overhead footbridge which straddled the “Strand” on Liverpool’s dock road; due to its location and the nature of the works and in order minimise the potential for disruption; the bridge had to be taken down over a weekend and during the night.

Mann Island Demolition

Project Description:

The project was for the demolition of the existing steel frame and traditionally built buildings which consisted of; warehouses, office accommodation and a former car showroom. This site was an area of major historical significance and also including a degree of enabling works for the archaeological team and the “Time Team” to investigate the site of the original, or, “Lost Docks” in the “muddy pool”!
